Preparing for your session shouldn't feel like one more thing on your list. As an Evelyn and Co Portraits client, you'll have access to our studio wardrobe for mothers, babies, and children, plus curated style guides that take the guesswork out of coordinating your family's look.
We'll also choose the ideal location together and start planning how your portraits will actually live in your home, long before your session ever begins. Every detail is considered with the end result in mind, because a portrait isn't finished until it's on your wall.

A first birthday session is the perfect way to celebrate this milestone with timeless portraits that show who they’re becoming. And to end on a fun note, we finish with a complimentary cake smash… letting them dive in, make a mess, and enjoy every sweet moment.

This stage is one of my favorites—full of personality, curiosity, and the sweetest little expressions. During a sitter session, I focus on those wobbly sits, tiny toes in hand, soft smiles, and all the in-between moments that show who your baby is becoming. It’s a beautiful way to hold onto this fleeting chapter before they’re off exploring the world a little more each day.

Pregnancy is the beginning of your baby’s story—a tender, fleeting chapter filled with anticipation and quiet moments you’ll never forget. My maternity sessions are designed to feel calm and natural, giving you space to simply be in this season. These images become the first pages of your family’s legacy… a beautiful reminder of the love that started it all.

Your photos deserve to be seen. One of the best ways to preserve the memories from your session is to hang your favorite portraits in gorgeous frames on your walls. As part of your Kansas City maternity and newborn photography experience, after your session and once you've selected your favorite images, I'll create visual mockups of your photos as they will look on your individual walls. This way you can feel both confident and excited as you order your favorite prints!

Frequently Asked Questions
The only holiday or themed sessions I offer throughout the year are my Motherhood Event in April and my Santa Experience in Nov. These are the closest offerings I have that resemble a "mini" session.
Do you offer holiday or themed sessions?
I always recommend scheduling your session early in your second trimester. This ensures you will have plenty of dates and times to choose from as these session fill up quickly.
When should I book my newborn session?
Yes! I offer a wardrobe for all my mamas. I will also offer styling with links for any families that would love to have a little extra help. I find that this just makes the process even more enjoyable so you don't have to add anything else to your plate.
Do you provide wardrobe or styling services?
Maternity sessions are scheduled around the 28-32wk mark in your pregnancy. That way you have a beautiful bump but your not too uncomfortable for your session.
When should I book my maternity session?
The typical turn around time for images is about two weeks. During busy session (Aug-Nov) it could be a little longer but we will be in constant communication and work together to make sure you have your images back quickly.
